What is ESA?

The Indiana Education Scholarship Account is a state-funded scholarship given to students with a disability and require special education (IEP, Service Plan, ESA Service Plan) to receive supports.

What services can Torres Behavioral Health offer through the ESA?

After an initial review of the diagnosis and IEP by the ESA team, families are given an annual budget that is placed in an online wallet. The ESA recipient can then determine how to allocate these funds based on their individual needs. After selecting services and preferred providers, families will receive invoices to be uploaded to the wallet, and funds will be dispersed to the service providers for payment.

Any student (enrolled in an approved private school or homeschooled) age 5-22 with a disability and an IEP, Service Plan, or ESA Service Plan.

Families can receive up to $20k per year and siblings without a disability can receive up to $8k per year.

A family of four is eligible if it remains below an annual salary of $230,880. Other income requirements can be found here.
